Story
I am training like mad to complete my first Half Ironman in Dubai on 7th November 2014.
I need to complete 1.9km swimming followed by 90km cycling and then run 21km (half a marathon!).
The maximum time allowed to complete is 7 and a half hours. My personal target is 6 hours.
I am raising money for Save the Children – which is a charity my organization has been supporting for over 10 years saving millions of children around the world.
I would like to invite you to sponsor me generously.
For those of you who know me well, I am not happy to settle with the regular challenge. So ….. if I don’t finish within 7 and half hours, I will personally match all the sponsorship money that I raise. On top of this, my personal commitment is to contribute with £1,500 for every 15’ I finish faster than the maximum time: 7 and a half hours. My target is to finish in 6 and a half hours which is £10,000.
Just to give you an idea of the value of your sponsorship, below is a list to help you decide what to give:
- £600 could fund a share of a school water-point to provide fresh water.
- £900 could train 15 health workers to diagnose and treat children suffering from diarrhea.
- £1,800 could provide life-saving medicine to treat 5,000 children for diarrhea.
- £2,500 could provide ‘safe birth kits’ for 300 women giving birth at home.
- £5,000 could buy life-saving hygiene kits with soap, towels and toothbrushes for 200 families.
- £10,000 could buy life-saving hygiene kits with soap, towels and toothbrushes for 400 families.
- … and any contribution small or big helps
Thanks for your support,
Paolo
