We support the PICU at St Mary’s Hospital to help critically ill children & parents

Story

On 30 August at 6:16, I set off from Shakespeare Beach, Dover and swam solo across the English Channel  landing in France at 1:26am the next morning!   It took me 19 hours, 11 minutes and 20 seconds and I swam a distance of 43.6 miles. I did this to raise funds to refurbish the unit I founded 25 years ago.

So far I have raised over £21,000, which will go towards the More Smiles Appeal; a £2 million project to create a new, modern PICU with more space for patients, families and staff. The new Unit will allow an additional 300 children access to emergency intensive care.

I will be retiring form Paediatric  Intensive Care Unit (PICU) after 25 years of service but want to secure the future of the PICU.  Children are our future! Please donate , Thank you.
