Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Justgiving page.

On Saturday 3rd September, a team from the Maternity Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, will be cycling approximately 600 miles from Truro to Newcastle.

Pass The Pinard is a relay style bike ride that has been divided into seven sections, each one taking two days to complete.

(A Pinard is a traditional tool used to listen to the heart rate of a baby during pregnancy).

50 midwives from the RBH will take it in turn to ride each leg of the journey - midwives from other hospitals along the route will be joining in to cycle their local leg. At the finish line of each leg the midwives will pass the Pinard on to the next team.
