Just a few days ago I was making a donation on Just Giving for Mark Smith who is walking Hadrian's Wall for the British Kidney Foundation. Mark is a very special young man who received a transplant of a kidney and pancreas from my son Adam. We have kept in touch since we met in 2011. I suddenly decided I would really like to join Mark for the 84 mile walk - it would be a great thing to do in Adam's memory and a really great way to raise awareness about organ donation. I would also like to raise some funds for our Education work which has a section on organ donation, encouraging young people to talk to their loved ones and sign up on the register.  It will be my privilege and also an amazing experience to walk alongside Mark who carries the precious gift from Adam inside of him.
