Just before Christmas last year a tragic event happened to a good friend of ours , with a bunch of my pals we have decided to raise some money for a variety of charities .

 

Great so why not just write a cheque out ! good idea , then in a moment of madness it was suggested we should “ride bikes” from Edinburgh to home some 240 miles plus in 3 days .

 

I am nearly 50 and despite a little bit of training I remain the wrong side of 14 stones!

 

Anyway I am a lucky man I have been blessed with three healthy children unfortunately this is not the case for all parents so my chosen charity is Derian House ,they help terminally ill children lead the best life they can whilst they are still with us .Please take a moment to look at the website www.derianhouse.co.uk .
