Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which has been set up in loving memory of my beautiful wife Jeanette Brindley.
Jeanette was such an incredible person, a loving wife, mother and nan who adored her family and friends beyond comprehension.
Sadly on 23rd October 2013 Jeanette lost her 8 year battle with adrenal cancer, a fight that she was determined to win. Her sheer determination to stand up to this terrible disease saw her achieve so much in life even after diagnosis, and to live way beyond that of what her prognosis suggested. So in her own way, she really did bow out victorious and with great dignity.
Not only is this page set up in rememberance of Jeanette but also as a means of expressing a massive debt of gratitude to the amazing work, help and support that was afforded to Jeanette and our family by the staff at Willowbrook Hospice. The work that these people do is simply awe inspiring and our family can never quantify how grateful we really are for what they all did to help Jeanette through some really tough times.
Over the years Jeanette became 'part of the furniture' at Willowbrook and I think that it would be fair to say that she won the hearts and affections of everyone associated with the hospice, just as she did in her everyday life around family and friends. She truly was an inspiration to everyone who met her, and so to help carry on Jeanette's legacy the family would be eternally grateful for any donations that can be contributed to Willowbrook Hospice, no matter how small. As they say, every little helps.
