Africa's Gift is led and run by volunteers in South Yorkshire and all money raised goes to support community development in some of the poorest parts of Africa, particularly rural Lesotho.  I am part of a group self-funding a working holiday this October and raising funds to help develop the Teaching Farm we have established, to plant more trees, to support building and educational projects and help people cook without exposure to open hearth fires in their huts.

The Malealea valley where we will be based has enormous potential as a high altitude running and off road biking centre. There is already an annual Sky ride across the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, with the Malealea Monster the local section.  I've missed this year's race but plan to ride the course this October.  That stage at around 6000 feet should prove quite a challenge and I hope you will be inspired to support me.
