Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am 58 years old and have been an endurance cyclist all of my life. I competed in Triathlons for a short while 22 years ago. I have never before sought sponsorship for an event because I have always believed that if you do, then it should be a challenge. Since I used to regularly ride up to 100 miles on a Sunday, I did not consider most events to be a suitable challenge to justify asking for donations.
Then 18 months ago I was diagnosed with Bladder cancer and underwent treatment for over12 months, finally I had to have my bladder, lymph glands and prostate removed last October. This makes the Taunton Deane Novice Triathlon quite a challenge for me and any donations, no matter how small, to Pete's Dragons Charity will spur me on to complete the event.
Pete's Dragons is an Exmouth based charity set up to provide support to families who have suffered a bereavement through suicide. Please take time to visit their page and see the good work that they do.
