Story
HI Penny here I wanted to share with you why I have this year chosen the last chance hotel as my chosen Charity.
http://www.lastchancehotel.org/
The thing about dogs is that they trust and love unreservedly and they do it without being able to talk to us , tell us what is wrong, what they need or how they feel, they just love us. The problem is that they will love though who beat them, use them as fighting tools, or simply don’t care and leave them to rot. Because some humans can be pretty horrific there has to be the opposite humans who go out and save these abused, tired and heart broken dogs and show them that not all of life is a horror story and that is exactly what Last Chance hotel do. But they do it with practically nothing. Everyone is a volunteer who has a “normal” job and then does this because they want to stop the hurt.
The people at Last Chance who I view as my friends save dogs from being put to death with only hours left to spare, save dogs who have been set on fire because they are an unwanted pet and any one of hundreds of stories which will change you forever when you hear how awful they are. They take these dogs saves their lives and make their hearts and future whole again. As I type this I wonder how can I express how much I feel for this charity and how humbled I feel by the team at Last Chance Hotel who try to show these beautiful loving creatures that the world can be wonderful and there is a bright forever, but there just isn't the words.
It costs on average £250 – 500 to save a badly abused dog and find him a home but £5 can mean he gets vaccinations, a new collar, a new bed, so a small amount of money can make a huge amount of difference and work towards a happy ever after!!
