Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My grandson made some really positive steps after a tough time last year so I promised he could go to Zip World in the heart of Snowdonia. When we came to book his place it transpired that he needs a responsible adult to do it with him (when you have stopped laughing about the the thought of me being a responsible adult please read on!)

I don't like heights - I don't like speed and I'm pretty sure I am not going to like being suspended in the air... so I thought if i am going to risk my life I would like to do it in support of PROMISE mentors.

I have been  mentor for over a decade and in that time have had the privilege of supporting some amazing young people - often being the only constant in their very challenging and chaotic lives. Mentors are volunteers and give up their own time to meet with young people weekly, befriending and advising them.

Mentoring is not a statutory service and more than ever we are having to fund raise to keep the programme in operation so please as you think of me flying through the air (with anything but ease!) Donate if you can - or share my justgiving link with anyone you think might,
