Thank you for taking time to visit Penny’s Birthday page.  Donations from this site will go towards The West Green Charitable Trust who run the Kwasa nursery  school in South Africa. 

Dominic Williams (Penny’s son) spent time at Kwasa last year helping in classes and building play areas followed by a sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro in aid of Kwasa.  So it seems natural to continue to sponsor this charity which is committed to educating children to break the cycle of poverty, unemployment and premature death for the 15,000 residents of Daggafontein, an informal settlement 20 miles east of Johannesburg.

The settlement has no electricity, schools, sanitation or roads; water is supplied by 10 standpipes; Aids, prostitution, alcoholism and domestic violence are widespread.  So we know that any donation you wish to make will be much appreciated.  You can see more photographic evidence of the work there at the 60 Birthday party venue.
