Story
Hilary and I are returning to Tanzania towards the end of February to visit the many friends we made their on our trip in April 2013. Following the tremendous support we recieved then for our project to install computers at Ashira Primary School (please visit www.justgiving.com/Peter-Bacon59 for more details) we would like to support another school on this trip.
ACTT, Affordable Computers and Technology for Tanzania, who supply refurbished computers into schools and provide computer training to the youth of Tanzania have identified JK Nyerere Primary School in Moshi as a suitable project (for more info on ACTT visit www.actt.co.tz or watch the video at the last image in the gallery below). Although there is no government funding for school computers in Tanzania the school has already set up a computer room and obtained a couple of old PC's. They clearly require much more equipment to make it a viable teaching space for the 450 pupils at the school.
The Headteacher's comments about the project can be seen in the gallery below and details of the school history and its academic record can be seen in the two images before the video.
We hope you will join us in supporting this project and thank you for any donation you feel able to make.
