We provide information and support to people living with long term pain

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 1998 I had what seemed a minor road traffic accident. However it triggered Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and left me in agonising pain. Eventually the illness cost me a promising career in 2005.

Like many other pain sufferers at the time, I did not understand why I was in such pain when my injuries appeared to be healed. Thanks to organisations such as Pain Concern much more information is now available.

My good friend John Bennett and I have collected for Pain Concern for some time now, by rattling the collection tins whenever we exhibit our model railways. We currently stand at around £1000 thanks to the generosity of N Gauge Society members and visitors at model rail shows. However, I would like to do a little bit more and help them raise further funds for the helpline etc.

I understand what living with severe pain means as I have suffered since 1998. Thats why I support Pain Concern. Please help me to help others who suffer long term pain.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate whatever you can afford today.

Thank You.
