Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing a 1.6 mile (2.5k) sea swim from the Island of Cumbrae to Largs Yacht Haven where I plan on drinking a few beers

Hopefully avoiding the jelly fish, have heard they can get pretty fierce.  I am doing this skins as I regularly swim now in Loch Lomond without a wettie so I should be relatively conditioned to the low temps (hopefully it doesnt get much below 15 degrees.... otherwise I'll have to paddle fast or find a triathlon shop to get one, and take the flack off the other guys in the club  !).

Its a good cause. Gillian's Saltire Appeal  raises funds to provide and maintain respite accommodation for cancer sufferers, their families and carers in Ayrshire and other parts of Scotland.

The swim will take place on Saturday 17th September 2016,

Thanks

Pete
