I am now in my 3rd year as a Trustee for LionAid. Working closely with them I have seen just how fast the decline in numbers is in the wild and how much time & effort is being put into place to halt this. The workload is immense & the knowledge is second to none. The website is the place to visit for the latest updates on what is happening to the remaining lions in Africa. Whether you read the latest blogs here at www.lionaid.org or follow on Facebook or Twitter you will be kept up to date with all the current news. The recent sad report about #CecilTheLion has raised the focus about this to a higher level, & now more people will have seen what trophy hunting & canned hunting are exactly about & why they must be stopped.

With barely 15,000 lions left in the whole of Africa of which around 1,500 are males this is another reason why we need to be pushing for the ban of trophy imports into the EU from any African Country.
