Story
This year I have been lucky enough to secure a place in the Great North Run in the North East of England. The Great North Run is the biggest race in the world with 59,000 entrants last year. It is a 21Km course with lots of hills and I am told that the last 2Km are uphill on a coastal road into a North Sea headwind (cruelty).
For those of you who know me (or who have seen me out training for the last 6 months) you will know that running does not come easily to me. Nevertheless, I've been training hard and I am looking forward to the challenge.
I am trying to raise money for a wonderful charity called Grace House who provide respite and hospice care to children and teenagers with life shortening illnesses. If you have a few bob to spare I would be very grateful if you would consider donating. 100% of all donations will go directly to Grace House.
