Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update 27th Feb 2012:

Today I rowed passed 100km - there is no stopping me now!

Update 16th Feb 2012:

My eight sessions are now over and my target of 30km has been overtaken, largely through bloody-mindedness!  Why should I be beaten by a mere machine?  I have now rowed just under 50km and hope to reach 80km (or more!) before Tabitha reaches her end date of 6th March.  As for donations, everyone has been so generous; thank you all.

My story:

Never one to pay attention to the diktat of my wife (not for anything is she known as General Pinochet), nor one to adhere to the instructions of the medical profession, it is not surprising that my proposed minor venture has met with the firm disappoval of the one and a certain lack of enthusiasm from the other.

I wish to encourage Tabitha Scrivener (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Million-Metre-Challenge/134656863308341) in her quest to complete one million metres on a rowing machine (10,000 metres a day) by 6th March.  That is 8 weeks away.  I, for my part, intend to row 30,000 metres over 8 days (2.3 miles/day) in that period and I would very much appreciate your support.
