Story

Alan is running in the Great North Run half-marathon on 11th September 2016. Not only that, he is following it up with also running his FIRST EVER MARATHON in Berlin on 25th September 2016.

Alan has chosen to raise money for NCKRF, a charity close to our family's heart. The charity started in the North East in 1970, and in 1972 a research unit visited Philippa's school where her kidney disease was discovered. Years later a successful transplant followed, made possible by many years of research, and a very special sister too.

The NCKRF fund is entirely voluntary and has no paid administrators or fundraisers. The NCKRF is a registered charity whose aims are to raise funds and award grants for research into all aspects of kidney disease, kidney transplantation and its treatment.

For details of current and past awarded grants, including NCKRF  funded research which has led to national awarded grants and collaboration research  with Cambridge University, please visit http://www.nckrf.org.uk/pages/awarded_grants_236991.cfm

So please support NCKRF by supporting us - donate now!

Many, many thanks
Alan & Philippa
