Story
Augustin de Longevialle and myself, Pierre Bonnin, are two Londoners striving to make a difference in this world. We are 15 and 16 years old, attending the French Lycee Français Charles de Gaulle. The two of us have known each other for many years, and have likewise taken part in numerous projects as a group. Following the previous cycle ride from London to Bilbao made last year in 2014, we as a group decided to carry this idea further by accomplishing it again. Ranging from the scouts to DofE veterans, we are familiar with building habitable structures, trekking in the wild and making the most out of rudimentory materials. Moreover, we are avid cyclists and driven by the sense of our past accomplishments that encourages us to seek out new ones.
We are supporting the MAD Foundation because we realized the importance of education, both through our experience in life and the possibilities it gave us. For that, we would like to give education to others, so that they as well may realize its power.
The MAD Foundation contributes to the development of sustainable projects and facilities in the poorest regions of Africa, focusing on key areas such as education, child welfare, health education and employment skills. They appealed to us by their sense of generosity, and by their emphasis on promoting education and child healthcare for a better world
