Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be cycling 300 miles in 4 days from London to Paris to raise funds and awareness for the Dystonia Society. As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Focal Dystonia in August 2013, ending my life dream of becoming a professional violinist.
Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder that affects a group of muscles in a specific part of the body, causing involuntary muscular contractions and abnormal postures. Unfortunately, there is not yet a cure nor long-term treatment for this condition. Dystonia has affected approximately 500,000 people in North America in the last few years and continues to affect people negatively. In my case, the dystonia affected my left hand, causing my fingers to move on the fingerboard irregularly. It is the most frightening experience I have ever had.
My goal is to not only make people aware of dystonia but to help raise funds for research and treatment for future patients affected by this disorder. Please help support my London to Paris Cycling Challenge and donate to my chosen charity. I appreciate your contribution!!
