Story
Help support me to continue working with vulnerable children in Pumwani and Kibera slums, Nairobi, Kenya.
I've been working with St John's Community Centre in Pumwani slum (Nairobi) since April 2011 and started an internship with Turning Point September 2011 and I've the opportunity to continue serving with both organisations for another year.
Turning Point is a charity working with vulnerable children and their families in Kibera slum. With Turning Point I'm primarily involved in developing and teaching an adult literacy course, monitoring and evaluation work and other bits and pieces that come up along the way.
St John's is a large Community Centre serving the residents of Pumwani slum. With St John's I will continue working with the individual sponsorship programme which I've been connected to since 2007.
I'm keen to grasp the adventure that lies ahead, learn more and see God move in the lives of vulnerable residents of Nairobi slums. BUT... in order to do this I need to raise the funds to support myself...Know that any support you can give is be so gratefully appreciated and will be put to very good use!
