This Christmas The Pituitary Foundation are asking for your generous support with our Christmas Appeal. This appeal revolves around a very urgent I.T issue which could lead to devastating consequences unless funded is received.

The entire I.T infrastructure at The Foundation is no longer fit for purpose and is in urgent need of upgrade.  Everything that we do is connected to the I.T system in some way and unless we can find the funding required then we risk being unable to support pituitary patients in their hour of need. A scenario that we desperately want to avoid.

·                 Updates our website with practical information to help pituitary patients come to terms with their diagnosis

 

 

·                 Keeps our database up to date and actually running

 

·                   Provides expert advice on all pituitary issues

 

 It’s a gift that can change lives, and often saves them

The total cost of this project is £12,000 but can be broken down as follows if you would like to fund a specific piece of this project. 

Computer monitors x 8 at £144 each.

Total Cost of Monitors =  £1,152

P.C's x 8 at a cost of £475 per P.C

Total Cost of P.C's = £3,800

HP Tower Server = £3,100

APC UPS 1500 replacement battery = £590

The remainder is required to upgrade our networking structure. 

If we are unable to raise the necessary funds it could have very serious consequences as the current I.T infrastructure is no longer fit for purpose. 

 

Gifts in Kind would be welcomed - If someone is able to donate a new piece of equipment then we would happily accept this, your donation to this urgent Christmas apppeal does not need to be financial.
