Story
Our annual sleep-out is back and this year we want more people to experince it and more money to be raised.
Politics Society students are sleeping rough on the streets of Coventry on February the 26 to raise awareness of the hardships that are faced by homeless people and to fundraise money for Coventry Cyrenians.
Cyrenians is a registered Charity that provides a range of high quality services to homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Coventry and Warwickshire with the objective of improving their quality of life and to empower them to live as independently as possible.
Last year our volunteers were moved to tears by the experince and went straight to their lectures after the event, so there is no half measures. All our volunteers are allowed to bring is water, the clothes on their back and a sleeping bag. Phones must be turned off and there will be no matresses or heaters!
