Story
The Muslim Police Association of Great Britain and the Scottish Police Association, together with the Deputy Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, are taking on the Children of Jannah Mountain Challenge! They're climbing Mount Tryfan in Wales to raise vital funds for Children of Jannah. They have their boots, rucksacks and waterproofs to the ready and are preparing well to trek one of Wales' most famous peaks on Saturday 6th September, 2014.
Please donate generously to help the Police reach their target of £7500. Your kind donations are vital to help Children of Jannah support parents at a time of their greatest need.
After receiving training by Children of Jannah on supporting Muslims whose children have tragically died, and seeing the wonderful work of the charity, the Police Constables are delighted to 'do their bit' in supporting the only child bereavement charity founded to exclusively reach out to bereaved Muslim parents and families.
Since being established in 2011, Children of Jannah has tailored it's support to ensure that every member of the family can be helped during their unique grief journey. It is only through continued support from the community that Children of Jannah is able to realise its vision of holistically supporting bereaved Muslim families. Children of Jannah's aim is to support children who have lost a sibling, as well as their parents. A child's grieving process is very different to that of an adult's, and we recognise the importance of assisting in healthy grief journeys. By working alongside fellow professionals and existing bereavement groups, we aim to reach out to more children, and their families, helping them to re-establish ease within the turmoil of child loss.
