Story

Thanks for taking the time to visiting the schools JustGiving page.

Piam Brown Ward is the Regional Paediatric cancer unit for Wessex based at Southampton general hospital.

They cater for children from one day old to 16 years old, so demand on resources are huge. They treat all types of cancer of which leukemia is the most common and they receive 100 new families per year.

Their resources are stretched beyond capacity and the quality of life for the families is reliant on charitable donations.

Many of the children are treated for 6 weeks at a time, one parent staying in the hospital with the child, the other tying to maintain a life for the rest of the family at home.

Thank you in anticipation for your kind generosity.
