Story

On 5th - 6th August 2016, 23 brave volunteers from the Prime People group will embark on the ‘Hell to Salvation’ challenge! This expedition represents an extremely arduous 100km endurance trek over the rolling hills and high ridges of the scenic South Downs. The challenge will commence at Devil's Dyke, a 100m deep V-shaped valley in Sussex, and finish at Winchester Cathedral in Hampshire the following day.

We walk through day and night, with some steep ups and downs, with all proceeds going towards our chosen charity, ELIFAR.

The Elifar Foundation is a small charity which helps to improve the lives of children and adults with severe learning difficulty and associated physical disability. They provide grants for a variety of items including electronic wheelchairs, specialised seating, eating aids, special beds and trikes, hoists, communication devices, sensory equipment and specialist holidays. The intense challenge of daily management at home usually means that a grant will enhance life for the rest of the family too. A large number of people with severe neurological disability are children and young adults; so the majority of the applications received by the charity are on behalf of the young.

With your help we can make a real difference - let's not miss this opportunity. Please donate whatever you can afford in support of such a wonderful cause.

Thank you.
