Story
Hello lovely people.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my Just Giving Page.
After running my first marathon back in September 2014, it almost broke me, and I told myself I'd never run that distance again. But here I am, 19 months on, and signed up to a 100km non-stop ultra marathon! Why? Because in challenging our minds and bodies we not only do good to ourselves, but good to those around us, and through the knee pain, the broken toe nails and the pasta overloads, we can raise a helluva lot of awareness, and important funds, for the causes that need it most.
I'll be raising money for Daisy Appeal, a Northern charity with a small media following, trying to increase it's recognition and supporters so it can go on helping local people with cancer, heart disease, and dementia.
Daisy Appeal aims to create a faster, more accurate diagnosis of the regions biggest killers, by building a radio-chemistry cyclotron unit to produce their own radioactive tracers, allowing patients to be scanned for certain heart and neurological conditions.
Your donations, no matter how big or small, will help Daisy Appeal carry on with their life changing research.
Thank YOU in advance, you're awesome.
