Professor Jill Poole tragically passed away on 31st May 2016 following a complication with an operation procedure. Jill was a loving mother to two, Becky and Alex, devoted daughter to Margaret and late Dewi Evans and beloved sister to Peter Evans. She was Deputy Dean and Head of Law at Aston Business School and has been described by many as an inspiring teacher, mentor, champion and friend to many throughout Aston University. 

She was absolutely dedicated to helping people learn by sharing her knowledge and love of the law. In her special memory, we have set up this charitable educational fund. This fund will be used to support undergraduate students obtain 'excellence scholarships' at Aston Law School and to reward 'excellence' at the annual law graduation ceremony.

In addition to donations, there are a number of fundraising activities that will be organised over the next few months which will be shared on this page. The first fundraising activity is that her daughter Becky, Becky's fiance Paul and her best friend Fiona will be running the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 25th September.
