The practice of sacrificing an animal, Qurbani, is observed by Muslims globally to mark the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage and commemorate the dedication and obedience to Allah (swt) that the Prophet Ibrahim (as) displayed when he was ordered to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail (as).

Eid ul-Adha is one of the rare occasions where beneficiaries from poverty-stricken backgrounds are able to enjoy meat when they would typically live deprived of it year-round.

Al-Khair Foundation ensures the highest quality of care and good treatment for all the animals we sacrifice on behalf of our donors. Our very own Qurbani farms raise livestock in a humane manner, in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammed (saw), which emphasise the importance of good treatment and animal welfare.

Historically, our Qurbani project has been among the largest in the UK. Last year, 2.5 million people benefited from our Qurbani distribution, providing them a joyous Eid to remember.
