Story
At Camelot we are committed to protecting our players but also to creating better communities and supporting local good causes in the communities in which we live and work. Team Camelot is the initiative that allows us do just that.
My little Nephew Josh who lives in New Zealand is autistic. Hearing the daily battles my sister faces, particularly within the education system is difficult as being so far away it is hard to offer any kind of support. Just as in New Zealand, in this country there are just not enough resources, particularly within our education system to help people with autism gain vital life and social skills.
The We Grow project in Churchtown, Southport is one of the many projects run by Autism Initiatives. They grow and harvest their own seasonal vegetables and have a small on site shop open to the public and do home deliveries as well as a mobile unit that visits retirement homes where the elderly can buy small amounts of fresh vegetables. People with Autism help to run this fantastic project which can greatly enrich their lives, give them valuable life and social skills and even help some of them get into employment.
On 14th September myself and my colleagues in region 400 are donning our wellies and helping out at this fantastic project for the day. The We Grow project is heavily reliant on fundraising in order to keep the project going so please help us achieve our target by donating today! With the support of Camelot's match funding scheme we can help raise some much needed funds for this fantastic cause.
Many thanks. Andrea Samson and Region 400
