Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are taking part in the 5k Swanbourne Endeavour Challenge to raise money for Cottesloe Charitable Trust.

It is a gutsy, gruelling off-road endurance event that allows us to plunge into the wilds of Buckinghamshire for a cross- country race that will push us to the limit. Please sponsor us to raise money for the following great charities.

SOLDIERS, SAILORS, AIRMEN AND FAMILIES ASSOCIATION (SSAFA)    A national charity helping and supporting those who currently serve in the British Armed Forces, those who used to serve, and the families of both. The Swanbourne Endeavour will support the local branch – Aylesbury Vale North.

THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION
The RBL provides welfare to the whole Armed Services family, including ex-Servicemen and women, those currently serving, and their dependents. It also campaigns on a range of issues effecting Service people and runs the annual Poppy Appeal. The Swanbourne Endeavour will specifically help the local Winslow branch of the RBL.

THE BUCKS SERVICES CHARITIES                                                               An amalgamation of several charities, providing support to Territorial Army soldiers – and their families – within Buckinghamshire. With one Bucks TA soldier recently killed in Afghanistan and several others suffering permanent, life changing injuries the fund is helping these brave individuals in their time of need.

MEDICAL DETECTION DOGS
We are a charity that works in partnership with researchers, NHS Trusts and Universities. Our aim is to train specialist dogs to detect the odour of human disease. Our Medical Alert Dogs are trained to assist individuals who manage complex medical conditions on a day to day basis. Our dogs are taught to identify the odour changes that are associated with certain medical events.

THE PUZZLE CENTRE
puzzlecentre-logoThe Puzzle Centre charity promotes and delivers early intervention for very young children with autism or similar communication difficulties; provides training and outreach to families and practitioners throughout the UK.
