RSPCA Cambridge Animal Clinic, 30 December 2016
We run a low-cost vet clinic to help local animals

Story

The RSPCA clinic in Cambridge provides low-cost treatment for animals whose owners are on means-tested state benefits (including pension or working tax credits). We also use our clinic to treat sick and injured strays taken in by the branch.

On average the clinic treats 2,000 animals every year.

This pro-active work means our inspectors are less likely to end up having to prosecute people for failing to get vet treatment for their pets. As such it is a vital element of the RSPCA's goal to prevent cruelty to animals.

Although owners make a payment when they visit the clinic, the RSPCA branch needs to provide an average of £2,000 additional funding each month.

Our target for is to raise £24,000 to make the clinic's future secure and enable us to help more animals.
