Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 11th September 2016 I’ll be participating in “The Pedal for Scotland Big Belter®,” a bike ride of 112 miles from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
I’m fundraising for Free Wheel North (FWN): a cycling development charity, devoted to creating a fairer, healthier society by enabling people of all ages and abilities to cycle as part of their everyday life.
FWN has a centre at Glasgow Green which provides training in a safe space for cycling, specifically for new learners and vulnerable users. FWN has a fleet of bicycles including a range of adapted bikes, trikes, hand-crank cycles, tandems, and go-carts with something for every level of physical ability. The activities at “The Green” are facilitated by a highly experienced team of tutors and volunteers who cater for both children and adults with varying needs.
FWN is completely reliant on charitable funding and in order to maintain and develop this fantastic facility every donation helps. Your donation will help FWN to continue helping: people of all abilities ride bikes, the provision of a fleet of bikes accessible by all, more organised safe and sociable group rides (which are free to participants), and allow FWN to campaign for better street design and better access for all.
