Story
I am riding from London to Cambridge with a group of 8 to raise money for the Bobath Centre. That is not an easy way to spend a saturday - as we're riding all 90kms of it. The Bobath Centre is a charity that helps improve the independence, health and wellbeing of people living with cerebral palsy. And Macquarie (who I work for) will match whatever I raise!
When my friends daughter, Lila was born, she was thought to have Cerebral Palsy due to complications with her birth. Since then Lila has hit all her milestones and is doing brilliantly. Andy and Leanne promised that we would raise money to help with this cause and support the Bobath Centre who do amazing work to support children and families with Cerebral Palsy. I am once again choosing to support them.
This year the therapists unanimously agreed they would love to replace their broken Supine Standing Frame which costs between £2,600-£3,500. These frames allow children with limited head and trunk control to be in an upright standing position at the same height as their peers for play and school, and also helps to maintain muscle length and bone density.
