Having had epilepsy since the age of 4, this year Libby was diagnosed with Focal Cortical Dysplasia - a congenital brain lesion which is causing her seizures. It is not easily controlled by medicines, but surgery may be an option. This has been a life changer for the whole family. On a bad day Libs can have more than 10 seizures. She walks with a limp, has very broken sleep, and misses out on lots of fun. Despite this she remains amazingly cheerful and full of beans.

50 million people have epilepsy worldwide. That's 1 in 100. It can be an isolating and disabling condition. We're raising money to fund research into medicines and surgery to help people with epilepsy.
