Many years ago, a German teacher at the utterly fabulous Egglescliffe School donated her instrument to me, on the grounds that 'she never touched it these days'. She passed away shortly afterwards, and I have decided it is about time that I did something a bit more than have an occasional toot on the gifted clarinet.
