Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I joined Girlguiding 3 years ago becoming a Brownie leader at a unit where I was once a Brownie many years ago!
In the short space of time that I've been in Girlguiding I have experienced many new challenges; learnt new skills; made new friends; had lots of fun and shared many opportunities that I would never have had before and I feel very privileged to part of the Girlguiding community.
When I saw the Cycle Challenge from Vietnam to Cambodia I felt this was an opportunity for me to give something back and an opportunity to support the work of Girlguiding UK; raising funds to provide training for Peer Educators within the organisation.
Peer Educators are girls aged 14 to 26 years old who help Brownies, Guides and Senior Section girls think and talk about issues that are important to them empowering them to make a difference in their lives. Girlguiding provides a safe space for young girls to spend time together and share experiences and I believe that with our support and encouragement we can help young girls build a resilience to the challenges they may face and show them that their voices deserve to be heard.
My challenge is to cycle 500 kilometres across two countries and to raise £3,300.00 (£1,500.00 goes towards Peer Educator funding) and I hope that you will support me in achieving my fundraising goal.
