Story
Radio Lollipop, Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Yorkhill NHS Trust, Dalmair Street, Glasgow. Scottish Charity No. SCO 39505.
PROJECT NAME: THE BIG MOVE
TARGET: £30,000
Situated in Yorkhill Children's Hospital, Radio Lollipop provides play, care, comfort and entertainment for the children in hospital during their stay whether short or long term. Monday to Friday our volunteers spend time with children on the wards, while Radio Lollipop works its magic over the airwaves - helping to take young minds away from the stress and pain of being unwell. Play is one of the best therapies for children recovering from illness. Radio Lollipop operates entirely on donations and fundraising and is run by volunteers.
In 2015, Yorkhill Children's Hospital will close its doors and take its place within the new Southern General Hospital. Radio Lollipop are delighted to be included in the new hospital plans and excited to move with the children and staff that we have worked so closely with over the years.
In order to move to the new site Radio Lollipop has a fundraising target of £30,000. This will cover the move and new studio set up costs. We will be unable to continue providing our invaluable service without it.
Radio Lollipop requires:-
New Studio Fixtures £ 7,000
Play Out kit / Amplifiers / Transfer Equipment £14,000
Computer Equipment £ 3,000
Custom furniture £ 6,000
TOTAL £30,000
