Story
Dear Brother/Sister
I hope you and family are all good and in the best of health.
The economic downturn has no doubt affected us all with job losses and reduced income affecting our lifestyles. Yet I am sure you will agree with me that by the grace of Allah we are fortunate to be able to provide more than the basic necessities of food, shelter and clothing to our families as well as education.
Right now there are almost 150million orphans worldwide. As parents who are blessed with healthy children we have never had to deal with the situation of not providing food for them. Imagine the pain of a father who hears his child crying but is unable to provide food. Imagine the anguish of a mother who cannot quench her sons thirst?
With this in mind I just want to draw your intention to an event I am taking part in. On the 10 of February 2012, I am flying to Tanzania with Islamic Help to climb Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. Although the physical challenge will be strenuous for me and the 14 other climbers, there will be many mental obstacles to overcome as well as the altitude sickness. I hope that you can support my climb by responding to this email, calling me in person or simply donating on my justgiving page. I have set a target of £15,000 which will sponsor almost 50 orphans Inshallah.
I also want to assure you that 100% of your donation will go towards the intended cause and I plan to cover my own expenses personally.
I read something inspiring the other day which I wanted to share with you..
‘I cried when I had had no shoes…. Until I saw a man with no feet’ Subhanallah, may allah give us the taufiq to reflect on this and appreciate all the bounties he has bestowed upon us inshallah.
As you will note I have almost hit my target but I want to reach far higher and support many more orphans together inshallah.
So please dig deep and donate now!
