This Ramadhan, Restore Hope and Dignity to Our Families
Ramadhan Is The Month Of Mercy, Dignity And Hope...Yet Countless Families Are Deprived of These, Scared Of Facing This Beautiful Month Alone And Without Support.
Your Help Will Provide:
Mercy –Relieve families under severe financial and emotional distress
Dignity – help families retain their dignity during times of financial hardship
Hope – give families a ray of light during their darkest times
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whosoever relieves from a believer some grief pertaining to this world, Allah will relieve from him some grief pertaining to the Hereafter. Whosoever alleviates the difficulties of a needy person who cannot pay his debt, Allah will alleviate his difficulties in both this world and the Hereafter. Whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Allah will aid a servant (of His) so long as the servant aids his brother...’’ (Muslim)

One Arrested And Detained, Not Knowing When Or If You’ll Ever See Them Again.
How Would You Cope On Your Own?
HHUGS was set up in 2004 to help families in the UK devastated by anti-terror legislation which has resulted in many brothers, husbands, fathers and sons being detained, some without charge or trial. HHUGS has provided a much needed lifeline in the form of financial, practical and emotional support to over 200 households through this stressful and lonely time in the past decade.
Who do we help?
· Families resident in the UK where a relative is detained in the UK or abroad such as Guantanamo, as a result of the ‘War on Terror’.
· Prisoners who are detained without trial, held on remand, under house arrest or deportation bail
· Rehabilitating prisoners following their release from custody, helping them re-integrate into the community and daily life
What is The Month Of Mercy Appeal?
This Ramadhan, HHUGS is launching ‘The Month of Mercy Appeal’ to restore DIGNITY, provide HOPE and show MERCY to those who need it most, in the The Month of Mercy Appeal is focused on restoring DIGNITY, providing HOPE and showing MERCY to those affected:
MERCY – During one of the hardest and loneliest times of the year, we need your help...We need your help to provide family support, food vouchers, food packs and cover transportation costs for families wishing to see their loved ones who are being held in prison.
DIGNITY – We want to restore dignity back to families under severe emotional and financial stress by paying for food cards, covering madrassah fees for children and providing counselling sessions to families.
HOPE – We want families to enjoy Eid as is the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Providing Eid gifts is a simple but effective way to give families hope in a time of despair.
