Story
Hello friends,
Thank you so much for visiting my page!
World in Need, driven by the love of Christ, has been supporting the Syrian refugees in the Middle East ever since they first had to flee Syria, many from horrific organisations like ISIS.
WIN is a non-profit, humanitarian relief and development agency devoted to changing attitudes all over the world through aid and education. It works to relieve suffering, poverty and oppression.
The opportunity has arisen for a small team from my church in Tunbridge Wells to go to the Middle East in May to bring aid, prayer and encouragement to these refugees. A team went last year and the effects on the individuals who were touched by their trip are immeasurable. Those people who think they have been forgotten, that no-one in the world wants to help them, were given a new hope and a future. But that work is not complete! I feel called to this cause and, by Gods grace, we will really make a difference in these precious people's lives. We will do this both practically through providing them with much needed clothes and food as well as through being able to stand with them in their trials.
I need to raise £850 to fund travel and living expenses for myself to go, and intend to raise more on top of that to bring to the refugees for much needed amenities. This is my pledge to you, if you feel led to support me financially in this, as well as through prayer I would be so grateful!
If you have any more questions please get in touch with me directly - due to the nature of this trip I cannot share the full details!
'Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing' John 5 v 19
Thank you so much for taking time to read my pledge,
with love, Becka x
