A walk for our intercultural performance project!, 23 July 2017
We give you a way to give to Leeds to help amazing students and researchers

Story

On Saturday 23rd July a group of cast members and friends
from the stage@leeds company production, 'Dreaming Under the Southern Bough', will be following the Huddersfield Narrow Canal from start to finish and onward to the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Manchester. We are all students at the University of Leeds. The route is approximately 27 miles long.

The aim of this walk is to raise funds for our intercultural production
to tour China in September which will directly benefit us as students. We  are also hoping to  make a cultural trip to the Forbidden City in Beijing in our time there and hope to raise some money for this particular endeavour!  Your support would be incredible welcome here!

Our production is a collaboration with students and researchers from Beijing's University of International Business and Economics
celebrating the 400th year anniversary of the deaths of the world famous playwrights Shakespeare and
Tang Xianzu. UIBE has been working on a Chinese adaptation of  A Midsummer Night's Dream, which will be performed together at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. Our joint project is called  'A Midsummer Night's Dreaming Under The Southern Bough'.

We need your help!
