Story
Hi everyone,
Along with nine other Amos Bursary students, I have the opportunity by the bursary to do the New York work experience this summer.
The Amos Bursary is a charity, founded by Colleen Amos and Baroness Valerie Amos, that assists young African and Caribbean boys in fulfilling our potential as young leaders. The bursary provides us with fantastic opportunities that not only significantly contribute in our development as potential young leaders but enhance our skills in order to excel and prosper in the careers we want to pursue. For example, last year the Amos Bursary helped me in gaining more experience in law by me doing law work experience at the globally recognised Law Firm, Linklaters.
But now I need YOUR help in allowing me to grasp the biggest opportunity I have ever received by the bursary. This is because I need to fund raise £700 for this once in a lifetime chance. The £700 will cover the costs for the accommodation, the flight and living expenses. The New York work experience without a doubt will take me a step closer into making my goal; to become a solicitor, a reality. This opportunity will take me out of my comfort zone which will allow me to blossom into a more culturally and commercially aware person but more importantly develop the skills necessary for a career in Law. Furthermore, because this is an international work experience opportunity, this will give me a distinct advantage over others in the very competitive world of Law.
However, I can't grab this opportunity with both hands if I do not meet my target of £700. Therefore I ask; will you support me achieve my goal of fundraising £700 by donating to my page? Even if its a small donation, it will still mean a lot to me as I do not want to miss out on this invaluable opportunity.
Thank you for reading my page and your generosity.
