Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have set up this page in memory of my amazing dad, who sadly passed away on 21st July 2015. He had a routine heart operation on 15th July which was a success, but unfortunately suffered an extremely rare and severe reaction to the blood transfusion given to him. This trauma led to his death several days later. During the time that he was at LHCH, the team that looked after him were extremely hard working, dedicated and committed to giving my dad the best chance that they could. They tried absolutely everything and we are all very grateful for all that they did, and the compassion that they showed when taking care of him. 

At the funeral we are asking for family flowers only and donations to the above charity, as we fully support the work that they do and the difference that all the staff make; not just for the patients but also for their families. Your donations will help them to continue to be able to provide first class surgery, care and treatment for the many people that visit this highly rated hospital.

I have been in touch with the hospital charity and have committed to fundraising for them by running the English Half Marathon (Warrington) in September and Chester Metric Marathon in October. I aim to keep this JustGiving page for these two events, as well as for the funeral. My dad received the best care that we could have asked for, and I'd like to give something back.
