Story
Let me ask you three questions. If you were going to do a 65 mile bike ride to raise money to bring joy into the life of seniors would you:
1. Ride a bike during the 10 months before the event?
2. Do some form of exercise in the months beforehand?
3. Start raising money more than 3 days before the event?
Yes? Well, I'm afraid that I haven't done any of these things, so now I really need your help!
This Sunday I am inevitably going to suffer as I cycle for 65 miles around Cheshire. And despite my obvious lack of preparation, I am prepared to offer blood, sweat and tears to complete this bike ride, because it is for such a worthy cause.
Have you had an elderly grandparent or parent? Of course you have! And you'd jump at the opportunity to bring a bit of warmth, cheer and sunshine into the life of someone just like them, right?
So please, please, please dig deep and contribute so that together we can bring some joy to elderly people. You really cannot over-estimate the impact that a day trip or a regular place to have a cup of tea with friends can make to an elderly person.
