Story
On Sunday 31 July I am taking to the roads of South West London and Surrey on my bike to complete the 100 miles of the 2012 Olympic road race course, in aid of the Macular Society.
Unfortunately my much loved aunt was recently diagnosed with macular degeneration which has left her clinically blind. This hereditary condition strikes suddenly and often unexpectedly, and if not diagnosed and treated extremely quickly can leave the patient blind in a matter of months. There is currently no cure. The Macular Society's mission is to fund research so that one day we can overcome macular disease and to offer information and support to improve lives today.
