<div> <div class="MsoNormal">Last year I finished my 10th consecutive London Marathon and my 3rd Comrades Ultra Marathon, as well as the gruelling Sussex Coastal Trail marathon up and down the Seven Sisters and the South Downs near Eastbourne. This year I&rsquo;m giving London a break but I am doing the <strong>Sussex Coastal Trail Marathon</strong> again in training for the main event which is the <strong>Two Oceans Ultra Marathon </strong>in Cape Town, South Africa, on Easter Saturday. The Two Oceans is said to be the world&rsquo;s most beautiful marathon, following the coast road around the Cape of Good Hope for 56kms (one and a half marathons) from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean.</div> <div class="MsoNormal">Then in June I&rsquo;m doing the <strong>Three Peaks Challenge</strong> with a group of eight friends, including my son, Matt, starting at Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Scotland, via Scafell Pike England&rsquo;s highest peak and finishing with Wales&rsquo; highest mountain, Snowdon, all within 24 hours. Finally, in November, Matt and I team up again to run our third marathon together, this time for the <strong>New York Marathon</strong>.</div> <div class="MsoNormal">So I&rsquo;ve set myself another tough challenge this year and, once again, I&rsquo;m doing it to raise funds for Build Africa, the development aid charity which helps build schools and develop training programmes for children and young people in Kenya and Uganda. This will be the 11th consecutive year I have run for this charity (formerly known as International Care &amp; Relief) and in that time with your help I have raised some &pound;55,000.</div> <div class="MsoNormal">As the years go by my times get slower and the prospect of knocking minutes, or even seconds, off my Personal Bests fade into the past. However, my determination to keep on running for Build Africa is undiminished and, although I&rsquo;ll never run any faster, I know that with your generous help I can achieve personal fund-raising bests instead!
