The Lions Club Annual Sea Dip takes place from 11am on Boxing Day, 26th December, 2015.

At 69 years of age I have never done this before, and probably never will again! But as an ex-soldier I like a challenge and won't baulk at it. I will be driving 105 miles on Boxing Day morning to do this, accompanied by my wife Pam, my daughter Nicola and her husband Paul, and their children Rhiannon and Matthew.

I suffer with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE), as did my mother. My daughter Nicola also has the condition, so too does her daughter Rhiannon, who appears to have more regular attacks than we have - so this is for her.

The challenge will take place on Llandudno Main Beach, at the top end near to the War Memorial (towards the pier) at 11am. I will also be wearing fancy dress;  a Lions Onesie (with a wet suit underneath!)
