Story
Sadly on the 20th July 2011 our dad passed away suddenly after 9 years of suffering from Heart failure.
We have organised the 4th annual rugby game on Saturday 25th July at Stockton Rugby Club to firstly remember him but at the same time to to raise as much money as we can for Heart related charities. Over the past 3 years we have raised over £8,000 in his memory for charity.
This year a Stockton select squad will once again host an Acklam select squad in our last ever game for Stockton at Station Road in Norton before we finally move to our new Grangefield headquarters- so it will be extra special .
Following on from last year we would like to raise money for the South Cleveland Heart Fund in their quest to raise £1 million in order to purchase a new state of the art MRI scanner. This will enable The James Cook University Hospital to keep the Regional Cardiothoraisc Centre at the leading edge of advances of care for heart patients.
We have not set any kind of target and there is no minimum donation as any contribution is kindly received.
The game will be held at Stockton Rugby Club, Station Road, Stockton, TS20 1PE and will kick off at 2.15pm.
Please come along to support the event if you can.
Thanks
Dan & Steve
