Story
Keepthebeat cycling member Bryan Lear and his wife Karen tragically lost their beautiful boy Harvey in 2011. Various friends have taken on a number of challenges to raise money in his name for local children's charities annually ever since. Over the last couple of years the family has become closely connected to the charity KEEPTHEBEAT founded by another rider Adam Tansey and his wife Annita. The charity was set up to help families affected by congenital heart defects. The team has seen through the fundraising the excellent work that keepthebeat are doing to not only provide lifesaving equipment but to also assist families through their difficult times.
This year the team are undertaking the Ride2thesun. This is to cycle 300 miles from Burbage Leicestershire to Watergate bay in Cornwall on 2nd July 2016. This on its own would be a significant challenge but we have decided to do it as close to 24 hours as is possible and will involve cycling through the night and stop[ping to only eat and drink. We have 27 riders signed up for our biggest challenge yet and we would be extremely grateful for any support you can give.
